This kitchen garden is very special in its use of 19th century methods and technologies, as well as use of heirloom seeds and plants.  We use many antique hand tools and employ the same cultivation practices as revealed by letters, notes and journals of the period in which this farm flourished around 1870.  This Spring we suffered the loss of the new seedlings due to freezing.  On April 21, 2007 we started over, replanting the vegetable crops.  The border of this garden is comprised of herbs and flowers, most of which will survive the freeze.  This is our story in pictures.
